Pre-booked school visits are now free!
There are
many educational activities and opportunities provided for schools
by the Museum of Lakeland Life. Please contact
us for further information about our children's workshops, talks,
activity sheets, and loan boxes. We also have a fantastic collection
of child-size replica costumes that are available for schools to
borrow. These include Tudor, Victorian and even 1970s costume!
Many children
make their first visit to a museum as part of an organised school
group. In order to encourage you to make full use of our rich supply
of resources, we offer school groups FREE VISITS.
The Trust invites
teachers to book a free preliminary visit where you can meet a member
of the education department and discuss when you are coming and
what you will be doing. The following information explains how to
book a FREE VISIT to the gallery and gives guidelines concerning
your visit. Please contact the education department to book a visit.
