The Trust warmly welcomes families and encourages children of all ages. There is a park adjacent to the Museum of Lakeland Life where you can picnic safely and which includes an area of swings and slides. In our coffee shop we have a high chair, as well as outside seating on sunny days. There are also quiz sheets for children to do as they go round the Museum.

The Museum is a great place for kids to explore - to have fun and learn about the past. To help we have quizzes for the young (and old!) - and a range of kids' activities in the school holidays.

All of the above are aimed at children outside school hours, but we also have various facilities for schools, including loan boxes and tailored workshops.
